Redwood Learning

Redwood learning was Solution Tree's online, digital learning platform for K–12 Educators, established in 2020. We wanted a look that was regal and represented professional education. I chose the striking red because it worked well in most every background, dark or light.

Highly Effective Schools

Highly Effective Schools Accreditation is a co-branding effort combining the best of two companies professional development offerings. High Reliability Schools and Professional Learning Communities at Work. I combined the colors, fonts and imagery from two of the most popular books this professional development is based on.

Global PD Teams

Global PD Teams is an online collaborative platform for K–12 educators. My goal here was to visually represent collaboration in a diverse way. I accomplished this with the multi-colored icon representing people around a table working as a group.

Arbutus Properties, LLC

Artbutus Properties is a locally based real estate company with strong ties to a street name the company founder was particularly fond of. I used a simplified line art drawing of the arbutus flower as the icon, while keeping the majority focus on the company name.

Ion E-Ballast

Ion electronic ballasts are meant for controlling and powering high powered horticultural lighting. Using less electricity than traditional ballasts, these were considered very advanced and technological and the logo effort needed to reflect this. To accomplish this, I combined a "techy" font with a universal symbol for power.

DeAngelos Italian Restaurant

Branding update for DeAngelo's Italian/Creole Cuisine in Bloomington IN. The owner of this establishment wanted to combine the styles of Creole and Italian cuisine. I incorporated a wrought iron lamp found in the French Quarter in New Orleans, while incorporating the wrought iron color throughout the logo. I chose a more Italian style font to complete the combination.

Super Starter

Super Starter is a line of propagation items such as trays, humidity domes and heat mats meant for propagating seeds. I wanted to convey the sense of your plants blasting off by using this brand. Therefore the use of the plant/rocket.

Carbide

Carbide is a line of carbon lined bags that prevent odors from being detected. The logo was designed to convey a sense of security by using the shield.

Haul

Haul Harvest Preserve never actually launched, but this brand was based around odor concealing bags and glass jars. The truck logo was created to show large fresh produce being "Hauled away."

Utopian Systems logo

Utopian Systems is a brand of products such as split A/C units and dehumidifiers, aimed at air quality and control. With a play on the word Utopia, I wanted this logo to have an "other worldly" feel. I accomplished this by converting the 'O' and 'P' into a planet.

Sunleaves secondary Guano logo

The guano logo seen here is a secondary logo that was requested for a grouping of Sunleaves branded guanos. Stakeholders requested that the bat in logo be hanging as this is how the bat...does his business. This logo was highly regarded in the gardening industry.

Blueprint Controllers logo

Blueprint Controllers is a brand of environmental and atmospheric controllers, co2 generators, and components. I wanted to convey the 'Blueprint' type style to this logo. To keep it printable and readable throughout various forms of printing, I added blueprint marks to the bold font with a sketched look.

Sunleaves Garden Products logo

Sunleaves Garden Products is a line of indoor and outdoor gardening products. This logo was an update based on a previous logo using this leaf shape. I converted the existing leaf form into a subtle 'S' shape.

Smart Support logo

Smart Support is a brand of products aimed at improving the upward stability and growth of plants. I wanted to convey a sense of strength, yet keep the logo as compact as possible. I accomplished this by using the structure icon to the left and combined both words to share the capital 'S'.

Liquid Lab logo

Liquid Lab was an attempted brand name for a line of graduated cylinders and measuring devices. I wanted to tie in the scientific aspect to this logo. I accomplished this by turning the 'Q' into a spilling flask tying together the liquid with the lab.

Elemental Solutions logo

Elemental Solutions is a brand of air and water delivery systems and components. For the sake of keeping this logo simple, I chose a play on color combinations, using the orange to represent earth, white for air and blue/light blue for water.

MixSure Plus logo

MixSure Plus is a brand of graduated measuring devices primarily used for measuring liquids. I wanted to include a scientific feel for this brand. I accomplished this by keeping a slim, clean font, turning the 'u' into a measuring cup.
